Ingredients
- Masur Dal or French Lentils
- Bay leaves
- Cinnamon Stick
- Onions
- Celery
- Tomatoes
Saute onions, celery and tomatoes in olive oil or ghee. Add salt and cook till really soft. Cook lentils in water with a bay leaf and a cinnamon stick till they are soft. (If you soak the lentils for a couple of hours, cooking will be much easier) Mix the two and add hot water for the desired consistency.
